Job Description

We are now recruiting for our 2026 Craft Apprenticeship intake. Opportunities are currently available in: * Joinery * Bricklaying * Painting & Decorating If you’re motivated, hardworking and looking to start a career in the construction industry with one of Scotland’s leading homebuilders, we’d love to hear from you. Our apprentices gain hands-on site experience while working towards a recognised qualification, supported by experienced tradespeople throughout their training. What is a craft apprenticeship? As an apprentice you will be employed by the Springfield Group, learning a trade while earning a wage. You will study and gain a qualification that's recognised by industry employers. The apprenticeship will take between 2 and 4 years to complete. What will you learn? Most apprentices follow a Traditional Apprenticeship route which combines college attendance with learning on site. As part of your apprentoce you will achieve a qualification at SCQF level 5 or 6 - the main qualification to show you can do your job. What do we look for in an apprentice? We are looking for apprentices who are ambitious, keen to learn, and bring a fresh perspective to our business. Effective communication is a cornerstone of success in any role. You'll need to be self motivated and have the drive to succeed and learn so you can take ownership of your own journey. As an apprentice, being reliable and punctual is important as you need to be able to balance your work and learning responsibilities. You will also be exposed to different tasks and challenges and should be easily adaptable and open to change and new situations.
