Looking for a career that gets you out and about, helps your community, and lets you earn a degree while you work? This Graduate Apprenticeship in Traffic & Transportation could be your perfect next step. You’ll join the team that helps shape how people travel around Angus — from improving road safety and traffic flow to supporting walking, wheeling and cycling projects that make everyday journeys easier and safer. The scope of the opportunity varies from analysing real‑world traffic data, to helping with designs for crossings, junctions or cycle routes. It’s hands‑on, varied and full of opportunities to learn. You don’t need previous engineering experience — just enthusiasm, curiosity and a genuine interest in how things work. We’ll support you as you work towards a fully‑funded Civil Engineering degree, while building confidence and real‑world experience that employers look for. And because you’ll be travelling to different sites across Angus, you’ll need a valid driving licence and access to a vehicle or able to use our pool cars to make the most of the opportunity. If you’re someone who enjoys problem‑solving, likes a mix of office and outdoor work, and wants a career where you can make a real difference to the places people live and move, we’d love to help you get started. For more details about this opportunity check out the job outline and person specification attachments at the bottom of the page. This job is temporary for up to 4 years from date of appointment. Self selection interviews will be offered during the period 13th April - 15th May.
