Requirements

successfully completed scientific university studies (Master, Diplom or equivalent) in the field of energy and process engineering or related engineering sciences
in-depth knowledge of edge computing, manufacturing process automation, data analysis, and data science
extensive experience in post-processing of additive-manufactured components using processes with geometrically undefined cutting edges
in-depth simulation knowledge in the application of finishing processes
experience in scientific work in the field of machining research
willingness to travel on business (also to non-European countries)
the ability to teach in German and/or in English is required; willingness to acquire the respective missing language skills
experience in the field of manufacturing technology, machine tools, and industrial robots desirable
experience in guiding students is a plus
