In hybrid and battery electric vehicles, power prediction plays an important role in vehicle efficiency and safety. During operation, it must be ensured that the traction battery is operating within a safe operating range in terms of voltage, temperature, SOC, and current. At the same time, optimum power should be available at all times, considering the boundary conditions. The development and testing of appropriate power prediction algorithms requires a simulation environment with a sufficiently accurate battery model. This work therefore revolves around the electrical characterization of different battery cell chemistries and the creation and validation of simulation models. Your specific tasks will be the following: * Familiarization with the subject area of battery modeling * Support with test setups for characterization measurements of lithium-ion cells, if necessary * Creation of battery models using toolchains developed at the institute * Data visualization and evaluation of characterization measurements * Model simulation in MATLAB/Simulink
