As an Assistant CPT Operative, you’ll play a hands‑on role in shaping vital ground investigation projects that support safer infrastructure, renewable energy development, and more sustainable communities. Based across UK land and nearshore sites, you’ll join a passionate, supportive team where learning and growth are part of everyday life. Working closely with experienced Operators and reporting to the UK CPT Operations Manager, you’ll gain invaluable technical skills while contributing to work that genuinely matters. This is an on‑site field-based role. Your Role and Responsibilities Expectations & Deliverables * Assist in delivering high‑quality Cone Penetration Testing (CPT) data to support ground investigation projects across the UK. * Maintain accurate test results and documentation in line with Fugro’s technical, safety, and environmental standards. * Operate CPT equipment under supervision, ensuring safe, reliable, and consistent performance on every site. Responsibilities * Work collaboratively with on‑site CPT Operators, Site Managers, and project teams to complete assigned testing activities. * Contribute to daily equipment checks, maintenance, and rig preparation to support operational readiness. * Follow Fugro’s procedures for health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance at all times. * Participate in continuous improvement activities and embrace opportunities to develop technical and operational skills. * Travel to various land and nearshore project locations, staying away from home when required.
