Job Description

The role of Degree Apprentice Surveyor is to assist in administration and management of costs and contracts relating to projects. The role may involve all aspects of work from the initial tender to final account and close out, seeking to minimise the costs and enhance value for money whilst achieving the required standards and quality. This role will work under the close direction and supervision of a more senior quantity surveyor.

  • Good attention to detail with the aim to getting it right the first time
  • Can work independently as well as part of a team

  • Have experience or appreciation of company policies, procedures & controls, operating office management systems including filing systems and document control and distribution and assist in the drafting of contractual correspondence on behalf of the project and project manager.
  • Have understanding or experience of commercial risk management, and an understanding of impacts to cost and time.
  • Equivalent of 5 GCSE's, grades A*-C or 9-4, including Science, English and Maths (ideally a grade B or above)
  • Equivalent of 3 A Levels, to include Maths and a physical science (Grade B in Maths, Grade C or above in other 2), OR
  • BTEC or equivalent L3 Extended Diploma - Engineering related (Grade DDM or above)
