










Altrad are currently on the lookout for a Craft Apprenticeship – Machining, to join the business to work on complex, precision machining tasks—producing components from specialist materials using both conventional and CNC machine tools. Our programme combines structured further education with hands‑on, practical experience alongside highly skilled engineering professionals working on global projects. You’ll gain the knowledge, confidence, and real‑world capability needed to accelerate your personal and professional development. Attend college classes, assessments, and examinations as required Carry out technical activities under supervision Uphold Altrad’s safety culture in all working environments Maintain a personal logbook/portfolio to satisfy Modern Apprenticeship requirements Support senior team members with project work as needed Achieve personal development targets aligned with the Craft Apprenticeship scheme Complete SVQ2 – Performing Engineering Operations and NC Manufacturing in Year 1 Maintain logbook/portfolio for SVQ3 (Years 2–3) in line with SCQF Level 7 requirements Support technical duties under guidance Meet all health and safety obligations During your apprenticeship, you may work with: Centre Lathes Saws Vertical/Horizontal Milling Machines Surface Grinding Machines CNC Lathes & CNC Milling Machines EDM Wire Cutting Equipment
