Your team As part of the Global Compliance function, you will join the Employee Related Conflicts Team, which plays a key role in safeguarding the bank’s integrity by identifying, assessing, and mitigating employee-related conflicts of interest and conduct risks. The Employee Related Conflicts Team is responsible for managing compliance-related matters concerning Julius Baer employees, focusing on potential conflicts of interest and integrity risks. The Team's responsibilities range from assessing employee requests and inquiries regarding secondary employments, gifts & entertainment and general employee-related con-flicts of interest, while ensuring adherence to company policies and legal standards. Working closely with various internal stakeholders, including Compliance colleagues, colleagues in HR, Markets, Legal and the front office. The Team provides guidance and oversight to ensure transparency and regulatory alignment to our employees as well as harmonize the global approach to the framework with local Compliance functions. This position contributes to maintaining trust, fairness, and collaboration across the organisation globally by proactively addressing employee-related compliance concerns, aligning with other locations. YOUR CHALLENGE During the internship, you will support the team in the daily handling of employee-related compliance topics, including: * Reviewing and evaluating employee-related conflicts of interest cases, understanding their nu-ances and resolving selected cases under supervision * Assisting with onboarding of new joiners regarding declarations and assessing employee requests related to mandates, secondary occupations and substantial shareholdings * Handling gifts and entertainment declarations and requests in line with internal policies * Contributing to the preparation of annual compliance reporting and internal reviews * Support in various employee conflicts of interest related global initiatives * Manage administrative tasks independently What to learn * Understand how conflicts of interest cases are managed in a global financial institution * Learn how regulatory and internal compliance requirements are applied in practice * Develop strong analytical, organisational and communication skills * Gain practical experience in the daily duties of an Employee Related Conflicts Officer
