In the IDUN research section at DTU Health Tech we are currently looking for a Research Assistant for investigation of user and purchaser needs for the medical devices aimed at Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM). Within the framework of our European Innovation Council (EIC) grant ‘Automated Clinical Platform for Personalized Antibiotherapy in Critical Units Based on Surface Enhancement Raman Spectroscopy’ (ACU-SERS), the overall ambition is to develop and mature the new medico devices for therapeutic drug monitoring of patients in treatment for sepsis at the intensive care unit. In the IDUN research section we have solid empirical experience in designing, producing, and testing sensing devices based on Surface Enhanced Raman Scattering (SERS). These activities were initiated more than 10 years ago when we developed a so-called nanopillar SERS substrate that we now use in a range of applications. We offer a highly creative, collaborative and ambitious work environment. This project will be part of the IDUN research section, led by Prof. Anja Boisen at Department of Health Technology (DTU Health Tech). IDUN is a cross-disciplinary research section with over 50 members, that focuses on development of micro and nanotechnology-based sensors, detection systems, drug delivery and sampling devices, as well as energy materials for the gut. As a Research Assistant, you will work in close collaboration with researchers involved in our EIC funded project on Therapeutic Drug Monitoring (TDM). You will be part of an international, multidisciplinary, and highly ambitious team where activities move at a fast pace and where close interaction between technical development and market strategy is essential. It is important that you are structured, proactive, and comfortable engaging with external stakeholders. Experience with business development, market analysis, and healthcare innovation is highly relevant. Familiarity with medical devices or in vitro diagnostics is considered an advantage. You will be expected to interact with clinical collaborators at Rigshospitalet, including clinicians and hospital staff, as well as other external stakeholders such as hospital purchasing decision makers and reimbursement experts. The position offers the opportunity to gain hands on experience in market validation, stakeholder engagement, and early-stage commercialization of a medical device in a hospital setting. Below is a selection of your primary areas of responsibility: * Conduct structured interviews with clinicians to assess needs related to therapeutic drug monitoring * Identify and engage relevant hospital stakeholders, including purchasing decision makers * Support mapping of the pathway to market, including customer segmentation and potential market size estimation * Contribute to analysis of reimbursement pathways across selected European markets * Assist in preparation of business cases and material for external partners and advisors * Support coordination with collaborators and documentation of findings
