Job Description

Subsea7 are looking for a motivated Apprentice Technician to join our workshop team based out of our Dalmuir and Old Kilpatrick workshops, near Glasgow, whilst studying at Glasgow Clyde College (Anniesland campus). This four year Modern Apprenticeship is designed for people at the very beginning of their career journey. Whether you’re getting ready to leave school or have recently started working and want to grow your practical skills. You will build real workplace experience while finishing your NC qualification alongside structured classroom instruction. It’s the perfect way to learn and grow your confidence as you take your first steps into a long term career. It will also provide a clear pathway into further education through a supported HNC programme. Once you complete the apprenticeship, exciting opportunities may open for international travel and overseas assignments. You could find yourself supporting projects around the world, gaining exposure to different cultures, teams, and ways of working. These global experiences can significantly accelerate your professional growth, helping you build confidence, broaden your skill set, and pave the way for sustained career progress.

Requirements

  • Have a minimum of 3 National 5 qualifications including Maths and a STEM subject, or be actively working towards them.
  • Able to demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills, showing you can learn and contribute both in the classroom and on the job.
  • Able to show a genuine interest in engineering, with clear motivation to develop your skills in this field
  • Be able to demonstrate a methodical approach to challenges, with effective problem-solving skills
  • Able to demonstrate good time management skills – this role will involve balancing college studies with day to day workplace responsibilities.
