Our research and development center designs, develops, and validates high-end servers in terms of performance, robustness, and reliability. Our Enterprise servers are based on multiprocessor architectures (32 CPUs) and can host the largest in-memory databases. Those dedicated to high-performance computing and used in supercomputers are among the most powerful in the world! The R&D architecture team defines the technical specifications of these products and supports ongoing technical monitoring of new technologies that could improve them. In this context, we are looking for a final-year intern (engineering school or Master’s level) for a paid internship certified "Happy Trainees". It will last 6 months and take place at the R&D site in Les Clayes-sous-Bois, in an environment equipped with cutting-edge machines. The internship will be within the firmware architecture team and will focus on the study of an experimental embedded software suite for managing supercomputer hardware – including boot management, sensor data collection, software updates, security, etc. The internship will include: * Exploring an innovative and experimental open-source project in close collaboration with its maintainers * Studying the porting of modern high- and low-level hardware management protocols to this software suite * Deploying this work on an emulator and on R&D hardware....
