Job Description

An excellent opportunity to commence your career in IT with this UK wide leading provider of services and products for self-builders, renovators and home improvers. From funding solutions to Project Management, this business is dedicated to helping people build their dream homes. The success of the business relies on its strong digital systems and responsive IT Support so this is where you will become an essential part of the team. What will I learn? As an IT Apprentice, you’ll play a key role in supporting the daily operations of BuildStore IT department. Working closely with the IT Manager, you’ll gain hands-on experience maintaining systems, resolving technical issues, and supporting ongoing IT projects. You’ll study towards a nationally recognised qualification while developing practical, workplace-ready skills. Key Responsibilities • Provide first-line technical support to internal users across the business. • Assist with installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware, software, and network devices. • Support the management of servers, cloud systems, and user access controls. • Monitor and maintain IT systems performance, backups, and security. • Log and document IT issues, resolutions, and system updates. • Support IT improvement projects and technology rollouts. • Help enforce data protection, cybersecurity, and compliance standards. • Liaise with suppliers and external service providers when required. • Deliver excellent internal customer service and clear communication. • Manage and maintain the support ticket desk.
