Our deadline for applications is Tuesday, 5th May. Apprenticeship Duration Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering – 3-year programme. How you will learn The Civil Engineering Apprenticeship is run in conjunction with MTU Cork. Apprentices attend * An on-campus week at MTU Cork at the commencement of the course. * An on-campus day monthly for labs and workshops. * Online lectures one day each week. Work-Based Learning Apprentices spend the remaining days working with our teams and learning ‘on the job’ to get hands-on experience of the modules they are studying. Apprentices will have a dedicated mentor to support their work-based learning. On the job learning will include: * Supporting senior engineers in the design and delivery of projects for both public and private clients. * Assisting senior engineers to ensure effective project delivery. * Undertaking site visits / surveys (under supervision) as required. * Preparation of designs to develop skills using modelling software. * Preparation of drawings and reports. * Adherence to all relevant health & safety legislation.
