Dates: 1st June 2026 start Location: Brussels Application window: closes Thursday 12th March Eligibility: This internship is aimed at students studying at university level and recent graduates You must be available for the full 4 to 6 month programme. You will need to commute to the Brussels office on a regular basis. Strong communication skills in English are required; French or Dutch is an asset. We do not expect any prior legal experience! About Fragomen’s EMEA Internship: Fragomen’s EMEA Internship Programme is in its 5th year! We are thrilled to welcome another talented cohort of students. About you: We are looking for people interested in Immigration who are organised and pro-active with good communication skills and attention to detail. You will be comfortable working in an agile environment and working to deadlines. Primarily, you will be responsible for supporting the senior members of the inbound team with research, onboarding of clients, organizing and participating in client project calls and prepare summaries after, write playbooks based on the aforementioned tasks, preparing immigration packages. The successful candidate for Intern/Trainee position will get the opportunity to learn about the immigration system in the Benelux region. Key Responsibilities will include: Support standardized and lower complexity immigration casework, including permit renewals, departures, newborn and monitoring permit expiry timelines cases. Update and maintain internal templates, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and alignment with current processes and regulatory requirements. Contribute to the preparation and improvement of client reports, coordinating necessary updates and ensuring all information is current and complete. Monitor relevant news and regulatory developments, summarizing important updates for the team. Retrieve and organise data from internal systems to support ongoing client reviews, audits, and potential new projects. You’ll also: Be able to complete any projects or tasks within the agreed timeframes and in-line with expectations. Be able to act (independently or as a group) without full-time supervision. Be able to act professionally throughout the duration of the Internship as a Fragomen ambassador.
