Job Description

As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Graduate) , you’ll play a pivotal role in our mission to create a state-of-the-art cancer centre. Join our dynamic team and make a difference! The Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Graduate) will be involved in the quantity surveyor area be responsible for carrying out tasks assigned by the team manager, assisting other engineers with tasks follow guidance and to come up with original ideas. The role holder is required to work closely with the construction management, engineers and surveyors to keep projects on track, and will be responsible in conducting desktop and field research, attending meetings, performing all practical and administrative duties assigned by the team manager, assisting on projects and writing up reports, offering suggestions for improvement.

Requirements

  • Right to work in the UK
  • Bachelor’s degree in quantity surveying related subject or another relevant discipline
  • An ability to communicate with a range of people, including customers, clients and key stakeholders both verbally and in writing.
  • Interpersonal skills with ability to negotiate to achieve the best price from suppliers.
  • Logical approach to problem solving along with solid analytical skills, understanding of business processes and systems optimisation.
  • Eager to learn with a keen eye to for detail especially in relation to numerical data.
  • Excellent multi-tasking abilities.
  • Excellent time management and organisation ability combined with good problem-solving skills.
  • Highly skilled in prioritising and organising.
  • Comfortable interacting with all levels of management in multiple areas.
  • Proficient with MS Office software. to include Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Word.
