The Planetary Infrastructures (PI) research initiative focuses on bioregenerative life support systems (BLSS), in-situ resource utilisation (ISRU) and how these can be integrated into future outposts. We are looking for interns to support us in our work. You can expect active participation in the EDEN LUNA project as well as support in the EDEN laboratory for the further development of bio-regenerative life support systems for later use in lunar or Martian habitats. Together with the team, you will prepare the EDEN LUNA missions "on the moon" (LUNA Analogue Facility Cologne) on site in Bremen. You will be involved in the conception, development and construction of experimental setups in the field of autonomous greenhouse systems according to the principle of closed cycles and the co-development of so-called Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA) technologies such as aeroponics (soilless cultivation), high-performance LED systems, air management systems (CO2 gassing) or control systems (DHCS).
