Our team at the BMW Group drives the digital transformation of vehicle development processes with innovative algorithms. In this internship, you will contribute to modeling electric powertrain design as a distributed optimization problem and solving it within our novel Python framework. What awaits you? * You will support the digital transformation and contribute to early-stage virtualization of overall vehicle development. * Furthermore, you help to construct representative distributed design problems for electric powertrains consisting of battery, e-machine, and gearbox. * In addition, you assist in solving for optimal powertrain designs using various algorithms within our existing Python framework. * Moreover, you contribute to evaluating the simulated design process, offering insights into the coordination of distributed systems, and proposing algorithmic improvements. * You will become part of a dynamic team and gain insights into modern vehicle development.
