In industrial research, you are given the opportunity to work on a forward-looking topic with high practical relevance. You will develop your own concepts, methods or algorithms, show that your ideas work and that you can convince colleagues with your results. We attach great importance to good supervision at a high level. You can interact intensively with other students and colleagues in the team. In order to choose the right topic for you from our wide range, we ask you to tell us which of the following areas sounds most interesting to you: * We create images of the contents of closed packaging using near-field radar imaging. * We capture three-dimensional images with stereo cameras, stripe projection, and time-of-flight cameras, and process the 3D data using signal processing. * We create digital models of our cameras, lenses, lighting, and other components and use them to simulate image processing in industrial systems in real time. * Computer vision is about extracting the relevant information from these 3D images at speeds suitable for industrial use and using it to make decisions in real time. AI methods are primarily used here.
