Job Description

You will be part of the Information Governance Division in the Directorate General Secretariat. You will be joining the Division at an interesting time. Our knowledge and information management programme includes automating and digitalising business processes, engaging in artificial intelligence activities and exploring new technologies to enhance productivity and innovation by leveraging ECB knowledge assets. In your role as a trainee, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for advising and supporting ECB users on standard information management, functional issues and the streamlining of processes. You will also be involved in knowledge management initiatives and other tasks aimed at bringing added value to the ECB. You will work closely with the Division’s staff and with key contact persons for all the ECB’s functions and operations. The ECB is an inclusive employer, and we strive to reflect the diversity of the population we serve. We encourage you to apply irrespective of age, disability, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religious beliefs, sexual orientation or other characteristics. As a trainee you will: * provide ECB users with knowledge management support, including functional support for the ECB’s information management systems; * contribute to a wide range of operational information management support tasks related to the creation, processing, storage and preservation of information in a highly specialised environment; * contribute to the monitoring of and reporting on information management practices, as well as the implementation of the ECB’s retention policy for paper and digital records; * contribute to the Division’s innovative information and knowledge management projects; * contribute to the design and development of business configurations in the ECB’s information management systems by performing business analysis, collecting requirements, testing and carrying out change management activities; this may involve programming, depending on the skills of the successful candidate; * support and maintain the ECB’s information management policies and procedures, as well as internal knowledge bases and training material. This traineeship offers you an excellent opportunity to obtain experience in providing information services at a major institution and to gain insight into the ECB’s activities. You will be part of a multicultural team that strives for continuous innovation to make a positive impact on the lives of European citizens.
