This project focuses on implementing algorithms and estimating the concrete resources required to attack symmetric cryptographic schemes, with a particular emphasis on password -based security. This role is ideal for candidates interested in applying quantum computing to real-world security questions and gaining hands-on experience alongside experts in quantum technologies and cryptography. The internship will focus on resource estimation for quantum cryptanalysis. The work will specifically address symmetric cryptographic schemes, with an emphasis on password-based security, in the context of quantum algorithms such as Grover’s algorithm and novel ideas.
