The Computer Systems Electronics (FC‑024) group designs and supplies computer hardware and networking equipment for all ASML systems (i.e., DUV, EUV & Yieldstar). We develop and maintain the hosts and related system functions. This internship supports the team by improving the modeling approach for the Host Connection Distribution List database. You will explore how the current setup aligns with the architecture of our configuration management platform. Your work will contribute to a more scalable and future‑proof design. This Computer Science | Software Engineering internship is an opportunity to influence an important system architecture. During this internship, you will study the current database modeling approach and compare it with the architectural principles used in our configuration management environment. You will identify improvement areas, propose solutions, and show the feasibility of your ideas. You will work closely with developers and architectural stakeholders. Your main responsibilities will be: * Study and analyze the current database modeling approach. * Identify gaps between the current modeling and the configuration management architecture. * Collaborate with developers to understand architectural needs and constraints. * Propose solutions that improve consistency and architectural alignment. * Create a proof of concept or demo to show how your proposal would work. * Document your findings and recommendations clearly. * Present your results to key stakeholders.
