The Opportunity The chance to achieve an Engineering Maintenance Technician Apprenticeship Certificate, alongside a BTEC Level 3 qualification which offers a starting salary of £16,912. This four-year programme combines practical learning with academic study. You’ll develop specialist skills to maintain and operate our nuclear power stations, working alongside experienced professionals and building a strong foundation for your future career. For the first two years, you’ll train at the National College for Nuclear in Somerset. You’ll have access to cutting-edge facilities including virtual reality environments and outstanding student accommodation rated by Ofsted in 2024. This nuclear engineering apprenticeship gives you hands-on experience and industry-recognised qualifications to start your career in the UK energy sector. This programme is part of EDF’s mission to drive the transition towards an Electric Britain.
