We are looking to hire most of our trainee solicitors via our vacation scheme. Our vacation scheme is therefore only open to applicants who are genuinely seeking a training contract at Tees commencing in 2028. Applicants must be available to start a training contract in 2028, i.e. should be penultimate and final year law students, final year non-law students and graduates. Our vacation scheme has been designed to assess your strengths, potential and commercial awareness. During the vacation scheme, applicants will participate in group exercises and undertake individual including preparing and presenting a short presentation. Applicants shortlisted during the vacation scheme will then be invited to interviews. During the vacation scheme, applicants will have the chance to speak to our current trainee solicitors about life at Tees. Our training contract typically consists of four six-month ‘seats’ in any of Tees legal departments, across all of our five offices. Trainee solicitors work in supportive teams and are supervised by either a Partner or Senior Associate. We actively encourage our trainee solicitors to participate in marketing, networking, training, and social events hosted by the firm. The working environment is focussed but friendly and trainee solicitors have regular meetings with their supervisors. At Tees, we support our trainee solicitors and their progression through the firm. Some of our previous trainees include: Helen Midgley – Training Principal & Partner– Family Law Chris Claxton-Shirley – Senior Associate - Wills Trusts Tax and Probate Sally Powell – Executive Partner – Family Law
