The Assistant Content Producer exists to create engaging, high‑impact social media content that promotes BBC Studios Drama productions, particularly the weekly drama of Albert Square on EastEnders. By shooting, editing and delivering fast‑turnaround short‑form video, the Assistant Content Producer will help grow and engage audiences across key platforms. They will generate creative ideas, work closely with talent, uphold editorial standards, and contribute to larger digital commissions, ensuring our storytelling remains relevant, entertaining and audience‑focused.

Requirements

Demonstrable ability to plan, capture and edit engaging video tailored specifically for digital audiences, showcasing an understanding of platform-specific formats and trends.
Evidence of proficient hands-on experience using Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, alongside practical proficiency operating Sony FX3/FX6 cameras in fast-paced production environments.
Ability to collaborate professionally with on-screen contributors, helping them feel comfortable while capturing compelling, authentic content.
Strong understanding of each platform’s audiences, best-performing content types, analytics, and emerging trends to maximise reach and engagement.
