Job Description

GE HealthCare is seeking a Software Engineering Intern to join our Advanced Visualization team. This team develops core services that enable our products to run cutting-edge medical applications. As an intern, you will be part of an Agile Scrum team, contributing to backend feature development, automated testing, verification campaigns, bug fixes, and documentation.

Requirements

Ongoing university studies in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math)
minimum 12‑month commitment
later expected graduation date (e.g., 2027 or beyond) will be considered an advantage
Availability to work a minimum of 24 hours per week (up to 40 hours)
Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (Java is required)
Basic experience with Linux/Unix environments
Strong attention to detail, especially regarding code quality, testability, maintainability, and documentation
Residency in Hungary
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Strong team collaboration skills
Interest in healthcare technologies and advanced visualization
Willingness to work in a hybrid setup from GE HealthCare’s Váci Greens office (1–2 days/week onsite)
