We’re looking for a motivated and curious Trainee Underwriter to join our team, supporting underwriting activity across Property, Casualty or Motor lines of business. This is a fantastic development opportunity for someone at the early stages of their career who is eager to learn, develop technical skills and grow within a professional underwriting environment. You’ll support the assessment of new business and existing accounts, helping us deliver quality insurance solutions for our customers while building relationships with brokers and colleagues. You don’t need previous underwriting experience—just strong analytical skills, great attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Many of our employees work flexibly in a variety of different ways, including part-time, flexible hours, job share, an element of working from home or compressed hours. This is because we want the best people for our roles, and we recognise that sometimes those people aren’t available full-time. Please talk to us at interview about the flexibility you may need. What you’ll be doing: * Supporting underwriting activity across Property, Casualty or Motor business lines. * Reviewing and analysing information to assist with assessing risks and determining suitable terms. * Gathering data and conducting research to support highquality underwriting decisions. * Working collaboratively with underwriters and colleagues across insurance teams. * Helping maintain strong relationships with brokers and customers. * Learning about market trends, underwriting best practice and regulatory requirements.
