




You will be part of the Newsroom Division in the Directorate General Communications. Our Directorate General has around 250 staff communicating the official views of the ECB. We inform the public and the media about the ECB’s tasks and mission and keep staff up to date on internal and ECB-related topics. The Newsroom Division is responsible for relations with traditional media, our social media channels and podcast, media monitoring and internal communications. We are currently working on making our communications more accessible to the general public and exploring new ways to reach young people and women, particularly through our digital channels. In your role as a trainee, you will be part of the Digital Content team of seven members of staff. The team is responsible for creating posts for the social media channels of the ECB and its top policymakers, drafting content for the ECB’s websites and producing the Euro Matters podcast. You will work closely with others in our Directorate General as part of cross-divisional teams handling strategic communication projects or urgent tasks. Your role As a trainee in the Digital Content team you will: * prepare content and film videos for the ECB’s social media channels; * contribute to the team’s understanding of the social media landscape and identify the most effective channels and content for us to reach our target audiences; * actively contribute to various ongoing projects, such as writing plain-language explainers for the web; * help produce the Euro Matters podcast, drafting scripts and promoting the episodes.
