Our team at the BMW Group develops and operates the GenAI Self-Service Platform 'Group AI Assistant' to empower employees in optimizing processes and improving products. During your internship, you will support us in driving sustainable AI transformation by contributing to a strong platform for efficiency, quality, re-use, and compliance. What awaits you? * You will support the optimization of a high-performance, Large Language Model-based, multimodal Retrieval Augmented Generation pipeline. * Furthermore, you help to evaluate and implement innovative approaches for hierarchical agentic Retrieval-Augmented Generation to address complex information needs efficiently. * In addition, you contribute to evaluating and implementing various parsing and chunking strategies as well as embedding models regarding quality, performance, and cost-efficiency. * Moreover, you will assist in improving the presentation of information across different modalities such as images, graphics, and tables. * You will support an agile project environment with an international development team. * Furthermore, you help to share insights and successes with your team and key decision-makers within the company.
