Job Description

As an Intern you will report within the Verification and Validation Department. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated, dynamic and growing team of engineers working on the validation of HVDC Control Systems. This is a very exciting and dynamic field of control engineering in which GE’s leading contribution has worldwide recognition. HVDC Control System real-time Control and Protection software ensures correct and reliable operation of all aspects of HVDC converter station. In this role, successful applicant will participate and contribute for all aspects of control system testing including preparation of test plans and processes.

Requirements

  • completed 2 years of degree level in a related science such as Electrical Engineering
  • 2:1-degree grade or above (or equivalent) predicted or obtained in Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • Good written communication skills – there should be little or no spelling and grammatical errors in their application
  • Eligibility to undertake placement - the internship is for 12 months, all candidates should confirm on their application that they are available for this time period
