Read more to apply now 👉 About art-K art-K is a private art education service which teaches children (who love art!). art-K has developed a specialist art program that tutors art skills to create great pieces of art. We are the largest children's art education service in England, teaching over 8000 children nationally per week! An apprenticeship lets you learn while you work, helping you gain a nationally recognised qualification. You’ll spend time both in the studio, getting hands-on experience, and learning the skills you need. Each week, you’ll have set time just for training and study, so you can complete your qualification successfully. Working Hours 30 hours a week (worked in 4 x 8 hours including 30’ unpaid break) between 9 am - 5 pm worked across Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday. Salary: £8.25 – £10 per hour (based on experience) Start date: 23/04/26 The job holder will be instrumental in the growth of the company by managing and administrating the software for parties and off-site events, and recruiting leaders and assistants. As a medium-sized company, art-K is committed to and values each member of staff; art-K is in a growth phase so by establishing a good track record, the successful applicant can consider their future role development. Options will include growth in hours or change of role in the central team as opportunities arise or, in teaching which may offer relocations to branches opened across the UK. Benefits scheme: * 24/7 access to mental health support with BUPA. * 3x Salary Death in Service insurance, one-time payment paid to a designated individual * Sick pay: Enhanced sick pay policy; 3 weeks full pay in any 12 month period after probation period ends (3 months). Location: S cylla Industrial Estate, Unit 3 Winnall Valley Rd, Winchester SO23 0LD Job responsibilities The purpose of the role is to support parties and events planning, which include: * Manage and maintain the booking software. * Qualify enquiries and respond by coordinating resources to support the party or event. * Assemble and deliver art material boxes to off-site events. * Respond to customer enquiries by phone and email. * Attend weekly meetings to confirm actions and results, and ensure working within the terms of reference. Assist with parties and events promotion such as: * creating/amending promotional brochures and social media. * exploring areas in the community to promote art-K parties and events * liaising with businesses to promote art-K events * costing up bundles of service to offer customers Depending on the tasks at hand, the role may include but not limited to other activities that may need to be supported: * Providing Outreach activities at OXO and supporting the OXO exhibition project in general (overtime may be claimed and offered for this on a fixed term period). * Ad hoc support with party and events admin tasks including support covering during sickness or absence periods flexibly. * Optional providing off-site events activities if within working hours. * Optional extra hours for ad hoc cover for illness in the parties and events team on the days you are not working, All training will be provided to ensure you feel confident taking on these tasks. Formal Qualifications * Level 2 in Maths & English * Level 2 in Art (preferable) The ideal candidate will have: * Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications generally, with a focus on Microsoft Word, is essential. * High level of English writing ability to be able to draft content and respond to questions by email. * Over time and with growing confidence, an individual who can inspire people with the energy they bring to the role. * An individual who can effectively communicate balancing the needs of the company with the needs of the individual.
