At MAQS we believe that it is beneficial for law students to gain insight in the daily life of a business lawyer, and to establish long-term relationships while doing so. That is why we every year provide law students with the opportunity to work as student co-workers, thesis trainees, or summer trainees, getting to know MAQS and to familiarize with our way of working along the way. As a trainee at MAQS you will be have the opportunity to try at the daily life of a lawyer and to acquire practical knowledge in a variety of matters at the firm, e.g., legal research, participating in client meetings, drafting memorandums, agreements, and external correspondence. The duration of the traineeship is ten weeks and aims to provide an understanding of legal analysis and how to manage legal matters. During your time here you will furthermore have the opportunity to work with several of the firm’s industry- and specialist groups, gain insight in some of the most important fields of law for a business lawyer, and work in close proximity with a designated supervisor. Our Malmö office offer a two-week traineeship at the end of spring term. Applications are to be sent to Juridiska Föreningen in Lund. We provide the opportunity for an exciting and rewarding part-time job to law students enlisted in Stockholm, Göteborg, or Lund. As a student co-worker you will gain valuable experience and insight into the everyday life at a business law firm, establishing valuable connections while doing so. Considering the aim of our traineeship, we will prioritize applicants who have finished their fifth term. The assignments may vary from basic legal tasks, to business administration, participate in various events or staff our front desk. The work hours is flexible, and vary from 1-2 afternoons a week, with a strong focus on maintaining a good balance with your ongoing studies. Each summer MAQS offer law students the opportunity to join our summer traineeship program. For six weeks, you will gain insight into our culture, make valuable connections, both at the firm and with fellow students, as well as receive a practical introduction to the life of a business lawyer, working in close proximity with a designated supervisor. You will be included into one of our industry- and speciality groups and alternate between participating in the daily business and various educational and social activities.
