Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within? In this internship, you will support a sustainability-focused project aimed at identifying PFAS-free and RoHS-compliant alternatives to Ni-PTFE coatings used in the Px01 instrument. You will help build a clear overview of where these coatings are currently applied, analyze the function and requirements of the respective components, and assess suitable replacement options available on the market. After 3 months, you are expected to contribute to a database of coated parts, an evaluation of coating requirements, and a comparison of alternative technologies and materials. Your work will help reduce the use of PFAS-containing materials, support more sustainable material choices in product development, and prepare for evolving regulatory requirements. This internship offers valuable hands-on experience in surface engineering and coatings for functional manufactured parts.
