Job Description

During your internship, you will play a crucial role in professionalizing aircraft performance data. You will collect and organize technical and financial information on the KLM fleet, verify and optimize the available data and underlying performance and cost calculations. Additionally, you will investigate opportunities for optimization and expansion using machine learning and AI. You will support the Director Fleet Evaluation & Performance in these areas, as well as in presenting this data in a clear and understandable way. Performance is interpreted in the broadest sense of the word, including sustainability aspects such as emissions and noise.

Requirements

You have an affinity for aircraft performance and basic knowledge of aviation technology
You possess IT skills, for example with Excel, PowerPoint, AI tools, and other relevant software
You have experience or knowledge of programming languages such as Python and C++
You have basic financial knowledge (such as exchange rates, inflation, NPV)
You are analytically strong, pay attention to detail, and can easily switch between tasks
You are communicative and can make complex information understandable
You have a good command of English; basic knowledge of Dutch is a plus
You are available from May 4th to September 7th
