Student Placement Opportunity – Performance, Analytics & Evaluation Location: Rose Hill HQ – Liverpool Contract: 12‑month Student Placement Start Date: September 2026 Salary: Grade B: £25,599 About the Opportunity We are offering an exciting paid placement for a motivated and enthusiastic student to join our Performance, Analytics & Evaluation team for a 12‑month industry placement. This role is ideal for students who want to gain hands‑on experience, contribute to meaningful projects, and develop professional skills within a supportive environment. What You’ll Be Doing As a Student Placement within Performance, Analytics & Evaluation you will support the team with a range of tasks, which may include: * Undertake administrative duties ensuring that work is organised and presented to required standards and that priorities can be met within appropriate timescales. * Undertake the extraction of data from systems to aid other team members in the gathering of information for analysis. * Undertake research on behalf of the team as requested to aid the understanding of information for analysis. * Provide support in the preparation of data, to aid other team members in their delivery of analytical findings in reports and presentations. * Provide support in the analysis of information, when appropriate, to assist the work completed by the team. * Attend and provide appropriate support at various corporate meeting in the provision and presentation of statistical information. * Undertake all responsibilities relating to information management, data quality and information sharing, intelligence, and information security to ensure accordance with the Authorised Professional Practice (APP) on Information Management, issued by the College of Policing, including the Home Office Code of Practice on the Management of Police Information (MoPI). Your work will contribute directly to the department’s objectives and provide valuable real‑world experience. What We’re Looking For: Are currently studying for a degree in a relevant subject areas: * Data Analytics * Business Management * Statistics * Economics * Mathematics / Applied Mathematics * Criminology * Organisational Psychology * Public Administration / Public Policy * Project Management * Communications & Media Studies * Policing Studies * Data Science * Social Research Methods We welcome applications from students who: * Have strong communication and organisational skills * Are proactive, eager to learn, and able to work both independently and as part of a team * Can bring fresh ideas, curiosity, and a willingness to get involved * Are confident using IT systems and open to developing new technical skills No prior experience is necessary — training and support will be provided.
