Forward Deployed Application Engineer Intern supports the development of client-facing product features across the data, API, and UI stack. Working closely with senior engineers, the role helps build and improve features, contribute to front-end and back-end implementation, and learns how data flows through the platform to the end-user experience. The role is designed for strong junior talent with solid technical foundations, curiosity, and a willingness to learn both the engineering stack and the insurance domain. Key Responsibilities Support feature delivery end-to-end:Contribute to feature development across API endpoints, server-side logic, and UI components under guidance from senior engineers. Assist with client-side computation logic:Implement and test mathematical or actuarial calculations on the front-end with support and review from more experienced team members. Work with required data sources:Learn how to navigate data ontologies and data architecture to locate and use relevant data for product features. Build domain understanding:Develop familiarity with insurance and actuarial concepts to better understand the product and contribute effectively. Use AI-assisted workflows:Apply AI tools such as Copilot, code generation, and testing support to improve productivity, learning, and code quality.
