Job Description

We are seeking a motivated working student to join our ECOLAB Quality Control team for a placement period. This role provides hands-on experience in a regulated life science environment, focusing on essential day-to-day laboratory activities. The successful candidate will support routine quality control testing, and laboratory operations, contributing to the safe and compliant running of our facilities.

Requirements

  • Sample Preparation: Assist with the preparation of in process and finished product samples to analyse on QC equipment in support of the release process.
  • Raw Materials, In Process & Finished Product Testing: Complete analysis of products against a set specification, across different laboratory Equipment e.g. FT-IR, GC systems and HPLC systems.
  • Laboratory Maintenance: Help maintain laboratory cleanliness and organisation in accordance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Documentation: Accurately record all laboratory activities and results in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
  • Equipment Support: Assist with the operation, calibration, and basic maintenance of laboratory equipment under supervision.
  • Lab Purchasing & Stock Taking: Support the purchasing of laboratory consumables and reagents and assist with regular stock checks to ensure adequate supplies are maintained. Help with inventory management and liaise with suppliers as required.
