Are you looking to start your career in HR and gain hands-on experience in a supportive and friendly team? We’re currently recruiting for a Junior HR Assistant at Old Mill to join our growing HR team, supporting colleagues across our five offices. This is a great opportunity for someone at the beginning of their career to get exposure to all areas of HR. You’ll work closely with our HR Associate and wider team, learning on the job while building valuable skills across recruitment, employee support, onboarding and HR operations. No two days are the same, and you’ll quickly become a key part of a team that supports people across the whole firm. Key Responsibilities: • Support the HR team with day-to-day administration across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding and employee records. • Assist with new starter processes, including references, right to work checks and induction coordination. • Help manage the HR inbox, ensuring colleagues receive timely and helpful responses. • Support HR systems and maintain accurate employee data. • Assist with wellbeing initiatives, internal events and employee engagement activities. • Provide general support across the HR team, gaining exposure to areas such as recruitment and learning and development. About Us: At Old Mill, we’re more than just an accountancy, tax and financial planning firm. With a team of over 350 professionals, we blend the close-knit culture of a local business with the capabilities of a larger organisation. Our open, collaborative environment encourages innovation and values every individual’s contribution. We’re passionate about developing our people and creating opportunities for long-term careers, so you’ll be supported to learn, grow and build your future with us. About You: You don’t need previous HR experience for this role, we’re looking for someone with the right attitude and a genuine interest in working with people. A driving licence is desirable, as some travel between our five offices in Yeovil, Wells, Chippenham, Exeter and Ilminster may be required.
