In the Execution Environments and Innovative Methods department, we bring together novel AI methods and challenging execution environments. In particular, we focus on the energy-efficient implementation of AI for mobile systems, quantum AI and neuromorphic AI approaches. The department thus provides innovative AI approaches for use in safety-critical applications. We are looking for a motivated student to join a development project focused on building a demonstrator using identical vehicles at 1:10 scale. In this project, the student will work at the intersection of mechanical design, electronics, and software engineering, contributing to the integration of various electronic parts inside the vehicle chassis, as well as to the development of lightweight software for vehicle control and monitoring. At the end of the project, a simple AI driver will be deployed to control the vehicles and demonstrate basic cooperative driving scenarios such as platooning.
