As a Reporting and Risk Governance Apprentice in our Governance, Reporting and Controls Improvement team, you’ll be joining the part of M&G that helps keep our business running safely and smoothly. Our team works to spot potential risks, make sure important checks are in place, and support the Asset Management business in making good decisions. This is a great opportunity to learn how a large financial organisation works, while building strong foundations in governance, reporting and risk management — all essential skills for your future career. Working with experienced colleagues, you will learn: * how risks in a business are identified and monitored * why controls (the checks and processes a business relies on) are important * how teams work together to keep the business operating safely and effectively You’ll spend time with different areas of the business such as Risk, Operations, Compliance, Legal and Technology giving you a rounded understanding of how we work and how decisions are made. You will also gain experience supporting requests from senior leaders and committees, helping you see the bigger picture of how M&G is run. As your confidence grows, you’ll be encouraged to take on more responsibility, follow established processes, share your ideas for improvements, and develop practical skills that will support your long‑term career development.
