In the Product Alignment department within Business Line Applications, you will join a group that improves the accuracy and stability of alignment control products. These products support our lithography systems by ensuring precise wafer positioning during chip manufacturing. As a Data Science | Computer Science internship: model testing, you will contribute to solutions that help chipmakers create smaller, faster, and more efficient electronic devices. Your work will support the development of reliable alignment models used throughout the wafer’s lifecycle. This internship allows you to see how mathematical modeling and testing directly impact real-world semiconductor production. Your assignment In this internship you will help evaluate and refine algorithms used for wafer alignment. You will work with experts who build models that guide our systems in positioning wafers accurately at every manufacturing stage. You will focus on testing, validation, and quality improvement of these models in a structured engineering environment. Your main responsibilities will be: * Develop clear and user-focused test plan specifications. * Generate relevant test datasets and simulation outputs. * Write and maintain test code in MATLAB following structured practices. * Modularize and refactor algorithm code for improved usability. * Execute test plans and deliver data-driven analysis reports. * Use version control and participate in code reviews to maintain quality. * Collaborate with colleagues to investigate issues and support debugging. This is a bachelors/master’s (thesis ) internship for a min 6 months but preferably 9 months, 4–5 days per week (at least 2 days on‑site). The start date of this internship is September 2026.
