You will conduct research on grid-tied power conversion systems with grid-support / grid-forming functionalities. You will perform in-depth analysis of state-of-the-art power converter topologies, in identifying component stress, potential bottlenecks, and failure modes during grid transient conditions. You will research into novel topologies, modulation, control and algorithms for such power conversion systems to ensure converters meet grid requirements without excessive oversizing of active and passive components. You will produce hardware prototypes in laboratory environments for proof of concepts. You will document research fundings by means of patents, reports or publications in reputed journals/conferences.
