As a Systems Engineer Intern, you will join Fortinet’s highly skilled System Engineer (SE) team responsible for establishing technical relationships with businesses for Fortinet and working on cybersecurity projects based on our Security Fabric portfolio. You will be able to support the SE Team to support our customers and partner on activities to provide understanding of our Security Fabric proposition. Supported by experienced SEs, you can expect to learn and develop relevant cybersecurity skills in addition to Fortinet product specific skills (i.e., NextGen Firewall, Cloud Security, DevSecOps, etc.) while gaining exposure to leading edge security products. This will be through a combination of on-the job training and more formal on-line training and the expectation is to leave with industry recognized certifications. We also place great emphasis on the development of your soft skills, including presentation and whiteboarding skills, customer engagement and more. Responsibilities: The main role of the intern would be to assist in the day-to-day operations of the Systems Engineering function. This will initially focus on background activities, but as industry, security and Fortinet skills develop then responsibilities will also increase to include some customer facing tasks, such as running product demonstrations. As a member of the SE team in Paris: o Provide pre-sales technical support to both internal teams and external customers/partners by: o Responding to technical questions about Fortinet products from partners or customers, o Running Fortinet solutions technical demos o Articulating the technology and demonstrating differentiated value over the time with colleagues’ support. o Be able to learn new technologies with our NSE Academy support.
