Job Description

As an Apprentice Technician, you will work towards a Level 3 Apprenticeship in Electrical, Electronic Product Service and Installation Engineering. This is a hands-on, customer-facing role where you will build the technical expertise and confidence required to progress into a Service Engineer position. You will gain practical IT engineering experience across a range of sectors, supporting customers both on site and within our operations centre. Working with high-specification printers, laptops, and commercial hardware, you will learn how to install, configure, test, maintain, and repair business-critical equipment. Alongside developing strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills, you will enhance your customer service capability by delivering clear communication and a professional, solutions-focused experience.

Requirements

Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check
Level 2 qualification in Mathematics and English Language
Relevant experience or demonstrable practical interest in engineering, IT hardware, electronics, or a related technical field
Full, valid United Kingdom driving licence
Ability and commitment to attend block release training at Newark College every six weeks, Monday to Thursday, with Friday allocated to remote learning
Residence within a reasonable and sustainable commuting distance of the assigned site
Willingness to accept the National Minimum Wage in line with apprenticeship regulations
