Job Description

As a Teaching Assistant at Trent Acres, you’ll be at the heart of our school community, helping pupils with Autism and additional needs grow in confidence, independence, and joy. Every day brings the chance to make a meaningful impact: you will support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons, provide tailored 1:1 and small group support, prepare learning materials, and help create stimulating, hands-on experiences. Alongside this, you will promote pupils’ emotional, social, and physical wellbeing while working closely with a committed team who will mentor and support you, offering access to high-quality training and real opportunities for career progression.

Requirements

  • GCSE English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent)
  • calm, kind, and passionate about supporting young people
  • flexible, adaptable, and ready to contribute across a variety of roles
  • Works well as part of a team and values collaboration
  • Takes initiative and responds confidently to individual pupil needs
