About the program The Working in Science Internship Program is designed for last year's students and recent graduates who want to apply what they’ve learned in a real, global biotechnology environment. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects, gain mentorship, and develop skills that set you up for future success. Department description: You will join the Axial Technology – Indirect Procurement Product Team, a global group responsible for shaping and delivering AstraZeneca’s procurement technology landscape. The team leads the design, development, and integration of systems such as SAP S/4HANA, Coupa, and other supplier‑facing applications, ensuring global processes for Purchasing, Supplier Collaboration, and Accounts Payable run seamlessly. Our team Owns the global template for Procure‑to‑Pay and supplier collaboration technologies. Works with partners across IT, Procurement, Finance, and external system providers. Delivers major transformation initiatives, including integrations, automation, and data standardization. Ensures new solutions are tested, high‑quality, and aligned with business needs. Supports day‑to‑day operations through defect triage, enhancements, and continuous improvement. You will be part of a collaborative environment that values learning, curiosity, and teamwork—where even interns contribute directly to real project deliveries and system improvements.
