Student (f/m/d) - Generating Motion in Virtual Human Models via active muscles
German Aerospace Center (DLR)
Stuttgart, Germany

You will work at the intersection of biomechanics and vehicle safety, with an opportunity to apply machine learning methods. In this project, you will focus on implementing a virtual human arm model with active muscles, capable of generating realistic human motion. You will gain hands-on experience in finite element modelling and biomechanical problems, contribute to state-of-the-art safety research, and develop a concrete deliverable as the outcome of your thesis. Along the way, you’ll be supported in performing a focused literature review, exploring innovative methods, and tailoring the project direction to your background and interests.
