Job Description

As a UI/UX Design Intern at MKS / Atotech, you will support the design and development of intuitive, user-centered digital experiences for our Industrial Digital Solutions portfolio. During your 1‑year internship, you will contribute to the expansion of our Digital Factory Suite (DFS), including cloud-based applications such as predictive maintenance solutions that help customers anticipate equipment wear, detect abnormal situations, and improve product quality. You will work closely with product managers, software engineers, senior UI/UX designers, and QA teams, gaining hands-on experience in an industrial software environment. You will report to the Digital Product / Engineering Manager.

Requirements

Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in UI/UX Design, Digital Design, Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong interest in user-centered design and usability principles.
Ability to communicate design ideas clearly, both visually and verbally.
Curious, proactive, and eager to learn in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
Good attention to detail and willingness to iterate on designs based on feedback.
Ability to work in English, both written and verbal.
Familiarity with UI/UX design and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, or similar.
Basic understanding of design systems (e.g., Material Design or equivalent).
Ability to create wireframes and simple prototypes.
Basic understanding of software development workflows and collaboration with engineering teams.
