Job Description

As an Assistant Geotechnical Engineer, you will play an important part in delivering our critical infrastructure projects. You will be involved in every stage of a project from inception to completion. You will undertake the production of technical designs and work as part of a skilled design engineering team across a diverse portfolio of projects. You’ll be empowered to challenge yourself and thrive within a supportive and collaborative team.

Requirements

BSc, BEng, MEng, or MSc in an appropriate ground engineering related subject (geotechnical/geological science or Civil Engineering + Geotechnics or equivalent)
Working towards, Chartered or Incorporated status as defined by the Engineering Council, Geological Society of London or another relevant professional body.
A proven ability to work within a team environment with a dedicated approach to meet project deadlines
You can demonstrate developing experience and expertise within the relevant technical field, gained in a Graduate Engineer role or equivalent with enthusiasm to learn and develop technical skills
You can contribute to the production of technically sound engineering solutions, complying with all relevant technical standards and client requirements, working under supervision
Have previous experience of using relevant Geotechnical design software and enthusiasm to learn and new skills
Have an appreciation of technical governance procedures and how they are applied within a consulting engineering environment
Experienced in undertaking project related tasks associated with health, safety and welfare, e.g. Construction (Design and Management) Regulations
