The R&D team in Middelburg is part of the Agilent Chemistries and Supplies Division focusing on consumables for gas chromatography (GC) and liquid chromatography (HPLC). We are seeking a student with an analytical chemistry background to support our projects in GC columns development. The student, under the supervision of an experienced R&D chemist, will engage in hands-on experiments with the latest GC instruments and GC column technology and will be supporting research projects to develop new or improved GC columns. Project Objectives (10 months): During this internship, you will: * Build a solid understanding of: + Stationary phase synthesis + GC column manufacturing + Column testing and performance evaluation * Develop and apply methodologies to evaluate GC column prototypes * Generate and analyze experimental data to: + Benchmark new phases against existing technologies + Identify strengths, weaknesses, and limitations This internship offers: * Exposure to industrial R&D in a global technology company * Experience with cutting-edge GC column technologies * Insight into the full innovation chain: from chemistry to product concept * Development of practical laboratory, data analysis, and scientific communication skills
