Our Global Internship Programme in Innovation & Sustainability (#IP2TIS) offers a unique opportunity for passionate individuals to gain hands-on experience in the pharmaceutical industry while making a positive impact on the world. Are you ready to join a global network spanning 20+ countries, where bright minds collaborate to tackle real-world challenges in Innovation & Sustainability? Do you want to work on impactful projects, shape the future, and drive change from within? In this internship, you will support the project “From Paper to Power: AI-Driven Optical Character Recognition (OCR) and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) for Executed Batch Records (EBRs) in Pharma Technical Operations” and help explore how digital technologies can transform manual, paper-based processes into scalable data workflows. You will analyze the current way EBRs are processed, identify pain points, and help assess the best technical approach available within Roche. Together with the team, you will design and test a prototype workflow that uses AI, OCR, and automation to extract data from EBRs and convert it into a structured digital format. After 3 months, you are expected to contribute to a proof of concept, evaluation results, and practical recommendations for a scaled pilot. Your work can help reduce repetitive manual transcription, improve data quality, and enable faster process insights that support reliable medicine supply. This internship is particularly exciting because you will work on a tangible end-to-end prototype with real business relevance and potential to scale across products and sites.
